Abstract

The dissemination of religious radicalism in the contemporary era has shifted massively into cyberspace, primarily targeting the millennial generation. Misinterpretations in reconstructing religious texts combined with low digital literacy are the primary factors rendering cyber societies vulnerable to extremist doctrines. This study aims to formulate tactical and practical digital literacy strategies rooted in Islamic theological values as an instrument to counter radicalism movements on social media. This study employed a descriptive-analytical qualitative method with a library research design. The analytical framework utilized content analysis on official institutional regulations (BNPT and Kominfo) alongside a thematic exegesis approach (maudhu'i) on related Quranic texts. The study formulates four implementable, integrated digital literacy strategies: (1) countering radical ideologies through soft approaches and reinforcing counter-narratives based on authoritative Islamic texts; (2) producing moderate content (wasathiyyah) packaged creatively and persuasively; (3) implementing digital tabayyun through rigorous verification before content amplification; and (4) fostering wisdom in utilizing social media to generate digital harmony and mature citizenship. The integration of digital literacy pillars and theological values successfully transforms cyberspace into an inclusive ecosystem, serving as a robust ideological fortress against the threat of transnational radicalism
