Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of competency, communication, and work environment on employee performance among Generation Z employees in Bima City. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of Generation Z individuals in Bima City, while the sample comprised 96 respondents selected using the Lemeshow formula and purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and literature review, and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The results revealed that competency has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, whereas communication and work environment do not have a significant partial effect. However, simultaneously, competency, communication, and work environment significantly influence employee performance. The coefficient of determination value of 73.9% indicates that employee performance can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 26.1% is influenced by other factors outside the study. These findings confirm that competency is the most dominant factor in improving the performance of Generation Z employees in Bima City.
