Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa MI Datok Sulaiman Kota Palopo

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can improve students’ learning otcomes in the Akidah Akhlak subject, particularly on the topic of “kalimat tayyibah hauqalah” in Class V-B of MI Datok Sulaiman, Palopo City. This study employed a Clasroom Action Research aproach based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model. This approach consists of several stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 25 students. Data were collected through achievement test, classroom observations, and relevant documentation. The collected data were then analyze using quantitative descriptive techniques to identify changes that occurred during the implementation of the intervention. The results showed that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model significantly improved students’ academic achievement and learning activities. The percentage of students’ learning activities increased from 50% in Cycle I to 100% in Cycle II. The average score increased from 51.2, with a mastery level of 24% in Cycle I, to 90.4, with a mastery level of 92% in Cycle II. These findings indicate that students’ learning outcomes also improved. Therefore, the Discovery Learning method can enhance students’ learning outcomes and engagement in Akidah Akhlak education.
