Efektivitas Media Video Tutorial dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Vokasional Merias Wajah Karakter untuk Murid Disabilitas Rungu

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of video tutorial media in enhancing the vocational skill of character makeup application among a student with a hearing impairment. The study employed an experimental method using a Single-Subject Research (SSR) design of the A-B-A type. The research subject was a 10th-grade student with a hearing impairment at SLB Aisyiyah Sijunjung. Data were collected through performance tests using a checklist and analyzed visually based on trend, stability, and level changes. The A1 baseline phase consisted of [number of sessions] sessions, the B intervention phase comprised [number of sessions] sessions, and the A2 baseline phase involved [number of sessions] sessions. Analysis results indicated that character makeup skills during the A1 phase were at a level of 58.3% with a stable trend. Following the introduction of video tutorials in phase B, the data showed a gradual upward trend from 66.6% to 79.1%, reflecting a positive level change compared to the initial condition. In phase A2, the skill level rose further to 87.5% and subsequently stabilized. This pattern demonstrates a consistent improvement in skills following the intervention and the maintenance of those skills during the A2 phase. Thus, video tutorials are effective as a vocational learning medium to support the enhancement of character makeup skills and the independence of students with hearing impairments.
