Abstract
The "Qur'anic culture" at SMK Negeri 1 Pringapus requires further strengthening to foster the habit of reading the Qur'an and enhance the quality of students' acts of worship. This situation highlights the need for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to play an active role in creating a school environment that supports the internalization of Qur'anic values. This study aims to describe the role of PAI teachers in establishing a Qur'anic culture as a means to boost students' enthusiasm for reading the Qur'an and improve the quality of their worship at SMK Negeri 1 Pringapus. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with PAI teachers and students serving as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that PAI teachers act as educators, motivators, facilitators, guides, role models, and evaluators. The Qur'anic culture is implemented through activities such as tadarus (recitation sessions), tahsin (recitation improvement), tahfidz (memorization), congregational prayers, kultum (short religious talks), and the practice of daily prayers. The implementation of these programs has resulted in improvements in students' Qur'an reading skills, consistency in worship, discipline, and religious attitudes. Thus, the active role of PAI teachers and the programmed practice of Qur'anic activities can support the establishment of a religious culture within the school environment.
