Implementasi Pendidikan Deep Learning dalam Mata Pelajaran Akidah Akhlak Kepesantrenan di MTs Al Ghozaliyah

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Deep Learning approach in the Akidah Akhlak Kepesantrenan (Islamic Creed and Ethics based on the pesantren tradition) course at MTs Al Ghozaliyah. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research subjects consist of the madrasa principal, the Akidah Akhlak Kepesantrenan teacher, and the students. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed via data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, utilizing source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the implementation of Deep Learning proceeds through the stages of planning, execution, and evaluation. Instruction is conducted through discussions, case studies, the habituation of acts of worship, role modeling, reflection, and problem-solving activities that link the subject matter—creed and ethics—to daily life experiences. Evaluation is carried out through authentic assessments covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The findings reveal a strengthening of students' conceptual understanding, religious character, critical thinking skills, and social awareness through meaningful and reflective learning.
