Analisis Produktifitas Tenaga Kerja pada Bengkel Sumber Teknik Menggunakan Metode Work Sampling

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the proportion of productive and non-productive work time among the workforce, identify non-productive activities, and formulate proposals for productivity improvement at the Sumber Teknik Workshop in Prigi Village, Watulimo District, Trenggalek Regency. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach using the Work Sampling method—observing workforce activities at random intervals to determine the proportions of productive and non-productive work. Observations were conducted on two welding operators, totaling 834 observations, and the data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The results indicate that Operator 1 engaged in productive activities 73.73% of the time and non-productive activities 26.27% of the time, while Operator 2 recorded figures of 74.22% and 25.78%, respectively. Overall, the average productive activity was 73.98%, and non-productive activity was 26.02%. Non-productive activities included searching for tools, waiting for instructions and materials, waiting for a turn to use tools, running out of electrodes, equipment malfunctions, and rework due to errors. These results suggest that workforce productivity is reasonably good; however, there remains room for improvement through better tool organization, material management, and equipment maintenance
