Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of motivation in the relationship between entrepreneurial knowledge and self-efficacy on entrepreneurial interest among employees of the Jambi Province Regional Financial and Revenue Management Agency (BPKPD). The study used a quantitative approach with descriptive and verification methods. The research sample was determined using the Slovin formula. The data analysis technique used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that entrepreneurial knowledge had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest among employees of the Jambi Province BPKPD. Self-efficacy did not have a significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. Entrepreneurial knowledge and self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on motivation. Motivation also had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. Furthermore, motivation mediated the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial interest and the effect of self-efficacy on entrepreneurial interest. The implications of this study indicate that improving entrepreneurial knowledge and motivation is crucial in fostering employee entrepreneurial interest. Therefore, agencies are expected to provide entrepreneurship training, seminars, and self-development programs to increase employee motivation and entrepreneurial interest
