Abstract
This study aims to examine the role of information technology to improving decision-making effectiveness in educational institutions. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using data obtained from journal articles, books, and relevant scholarly publications accessed through Google Scholar and accredited journals published between 2011 and 2026. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of identification, selection, classification, and thematic review of literature that met the research criteria. The findings indicate that information technology plays a significant role in providing accurate, relevant, and timely information, thereby supporting more rational, objective, and evidence-based decision-making processes. Furthermore, the implementation of information technology enhances work efficiency, coordination, transparency, and the quality of educational services through integrated systems. This study is limited to the use of secondary data derived from various literature sources without direct data collection. Therefore, future studies are recommended to conduct empirical research to examine the influence of information technology on decision-making effectiveness in educational institutions. Consequently, the utilization of information technology remains an essential element in supporting the achievement of educational organizational goals in a sustainable manner.
