Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of Ashwat science with nahwu learning in improving students' Arabic language proficiency. The study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by reviewing relevant scientific articles, books, and research results. The references reviewed were selected based on the following criteria: (1) published between 2015 and 2025; (2) discussing Ashwat science, nahwu, Arabic language learning, or the integration of both; (3) originating from accredited journals, proceedings, and academic books that are relevant to the research topic; and (4) available in full text so they can be analyzed in depth. Data were analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative approach through the process of identification, selection, synthesis, and interpretation of findings from various sources. The results of the study indicate that Ashwat science focuses on the accuracy of Arabic sounds, makhraj, intonation, and pronunciation, while nahwu plays a role in understanding grammatical structures and sentence structure. Integration of the two can be done through sentence structure-based pronunciation exercises, communicative learning, the talaqqi method, and the use of audio-linguistic media. This integration contributes to improved speaking, reading, and listening skills, as well as a more practical understanding of Arabic language rules. Therefore, learning that combines phonology and grammar in a balanced manner is recommended to increase the effectiveness of Arabic language learning.
