Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of ethical principles in educational decision-making and its implications for improving fairness and professionalism. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method of SINTA-indexed journal articles and relevant academic references for the period 2015–2025. The literature reviewed focused on the themes of educational ethics, ethical leadership, decision-making, and educational governance, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that ethical principles, such as fairness, transparency, accountability, and social responsibility, play an important role in producing quality, objective, and accountable decisions. Ethical leadership has also been shown to support the formation of an organizational culture of integrity and professionalism. However, the implementation of ethical principles still faces various challenges, such as moral dilemmas, conflicts of interest, and the development of digital technology. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen ethical competence and an organizational culture that supports the application of ethical values to realize a more just, transparent, and professional education system
