Eksplorasi Etnomatematika Pada Budaya Sasi di Kepulauan Kei Sebagai Manifestasi Pengetahuan Matematika dalam Kearifan Lokal

Abstract
The sasi culture is the local wisdom of the Kei Islands community, Southeast Maluku, which regulates the use of natural resources through time and territorial restrictions based on the Larvul Ngabal customary law. This practice has the potential to contain mathematical knowledge that has not been systematically studied from an ethnomathematics perspective. This study aims to identify and analyze mathematical concepts contained in sasi practices based on cultural documentation and examine their potential as a context for local culture-based mathematics learning. The study used a qualitative approach with a literature study design (library research) based on cultural documentation. Data were obtained from journal articles, books, monographs, research reports, historical documents, and other relevant sources discussing sasi, the Kei Islands, Larvul Ngabal, and ethnomathematics. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and interpretively through the stages of identification, reduction, categorization, interpretation, and synthesis, with source triangulation to ensure data validity. The results of the analysis indicate that sasi practices contain four main mathematical concepts: time and periodicity, measurement and classification, geometry and spatiality, and simple mathematical modeling in resource management. This finding confirms the potential of sasi as a source for ethnomathematics studies and the context of local culture-based mathematics learning
